The Little League Canada Umpire Development Advisory Group is calling on all umpires who would like to be an evaluator at the Canada Region tournaments to register for the free webinars. Evaluators play a crucial role in assessing the umpires in their development and set goals for continuous improvement. Completion of the modules and the rubric overview must be completed for assignment to any of the Canada Region tournaments. The Evaluator Training consists of four modules:
- Module 1 – What Makes a Good Evaluator
- Module 2 – Evaluation Process
- Module 3 – Basic Note-Taking
- Module 4 – Giving Feedback
All training will be done through Microsoft Teams @ 4pm PT, 5 pm MT, 6 pm CT, 7 pm ET & 8 pm ATL. Two modules or one training session is 1 to 1.5 hours in duration. NOTE: Rubric Overview will be scheduled for May 2024.
- Session 1 – Sunday, February 25 (Module 1 & 2)
- Session 2 – Sunday, March 3 (Modules 3 & 4)
- Session 3 – Monday March 11 (Modules 1 & 2)
- Session 4 – Wednesday, March 13 (Modules 3 & 4)
